Lucivar is still a little annoyed about Jaenelle's little message directed at him, but he's definitely going to do his best to be civil. Jaenelle says that Lestat is trustworthy, and Jaenelle is usually right. Usually.
Laughing, Lestat places a hand against his chest as if he was thoroughly insulted. His reply is calm, but his eyes glitter at the same time. "You hardly had to respond to my request. It would be quite different if I forced the demand of entertainment upon you."
His mouth flickers in a shadow of a smile. "True enough. But you made a request, and I asked why I should grant your request? Of course, it would seem that you find me amusing whether or not I try to entertain you." The last comment is exceedingly dry, with maybe a hint of annoyance.
